During the artistic shoot, Hailee played with angles to evoke a sense of curiosity and mystery within the viewer using black and white film. “Hailee was also the photographer for my maternity session. During this session, she focused on using of shadows and light. Two images that highlight Ms. Potters skills are of me standing at a window while my face and body are slightly shaded, but there was a sun beam perfectly highlighting my bare stomach; my unborn son stood out as the subject.  The other photo was of me in the grass but it wasn’t directly captured in a documentary style but in a reflection, from my husband’s sunglasses. The phrase, “apple of his eye”, comes to mind but with a modern and artistic flare. Hailee asked questions and understood my needs beyond the specific pictures I requested. The first session was a surprise for our actual engagement and she worked closely with my husband to orchestrate everything (including best location since we weren’t local to Savannah) despite me not wanting to follow the original plan he had set for us that day.
